What is a ‘Non Sticky Bonus’?
A non sticky bonus is a withdrawable bonus a player can turn into cash once he has fulfilled all the bonus requirements. A player usually receives the bonus upon signing up and making his first deposit. A typical non sticky bonus is between 50% – 100% of the deposit. The opposite of a non sticky bonus is a sticky bonus, which the player can’t withdraw, but can use to place bets.
‘Non Sticky Bonus’ Explained
It is important that a player knows whether a casino is giving him a sticky bonus or a non sticky bonus. Neither are terms the casino will use. The only way a player will find out is by examining the terms and conditions. If the terms and conditions state that the bonus is for wagering only then it is a sticky bonus. If it states that a player has to turn over the amount a certain number of times before he can withdraw it, then it is a non sticky bonus.
Another way to know if it is a sticky bonus is if a casino is offering players a sign up bonus too good to be true. An example of this would be a bonus as much as 400% of the players initial deposit. That means if a player deposits $124 (£100), the casino will give him $500 (£400). No casino would risk giving a player an amount that generous as a non sticky bonus. At the very most, non sticky bonuses are 100% of the deposit.
Most people prefer non sticky bonuses because they see them as a chance to make easy money, but non sticky bonuses are rarely that easy to turn into cash, especially at casinos. Most casinos will restrict players to using their bonuses on specific games and types of bets.
Though people don’t tend to like sticky bonuses as much, they do have their advantages. Namely, the large amounts allow players to learn the games by making risky bets and trying out strategies they wouldn’t have tried otherwise.
