- Listening to players’ feedback, PokreStars is bringing back PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in 2018
- Players can expect a lot of exciting poker action and several interesting giveaways, including a $50,000 freeroll
One of the most exotic live events on the poker scene, PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, will be returning in January of 2018.
This was announced in the press release by The Stars Group, the company formerly known as Amaya, which has recently undergone the full process of rebranding.
Eric Hollreiser, the PokerStars Corporate Communications Director, explained that this decision was made based on the player feedback. According to him, players suggested the name Caribbean Adventure should be restored and steps taken to further improve the player experience as this is one of the most iconic and popular live casino events organized by PokerStars.
Together with bringing back the name, the casino giant will also boost the promotions for the event to increase the number of players gathering at the Caribbean in January.
The revived PokerStars Caribbean Adventure will take place on January 6-14, 2018, at the Atlantis Paradise Resort in the Bahamas. This event premiered back in 2004 on a cruise ship, and has grown into one of the most popular live events, attracting professionals and recreational players looking to merge a vacation with the ultimate poker experience.
The 2018 event will see nine days filled with poker action, with numerous tournaments and cash game action running around the clock. The Main Event will feature a $10,300 buy-in and, given the popularity of this tournament, prize pool will undoubtedly be very attractive.
On top of the poker action, there’ll also be many promotions celebrating the revival of the PCA and extending gratitude to the players whose support and attendance is, of course, the key for the success of this poker festival.
What to expect
Like every year before, PCA 2018 will feature a number of events for different bankrolls. For those with deeper pockets, there is the Super High Roller event, featuring a $100,000 buy-in, together with two High Roller tournaments, with buy-ins of $25,000 and $50,000.
All higher buy-in events will have a reduced tournament fee, capped at $300, which is a significant reduction compared to before. For fast tournaments, with levels lasting 19 minutes or less, all fees will also be reduced by 50%.
On January 14, the last day of next year’s PCA, there will also be a $50,000 freeroll event, open to all interested players who played in at least one event from the official PCA 2018 schedule. There will be many other competitions and giveaways taking place during the event.
Those looking to visit the Bahamas can also qualify online via PokerStars, as there’ll be a number of promotions and satellites giving players a chance to win PCA packages.
Finally, the grand finale of the Battle of the Wits between Usain Bolt and Kevin Hart will take place at the live poker tables at the Bahamas, so there is plenty of reason to be a part of PokerStars Caribbean Adventure 2018.
