Partypoker, an online poker provider, is offering online poker fans the chance to compete in its Powerfest poker tournament series, and to pick up a hefty prize pool while doing so. The competition will run between September 3, 2017 and September 24, 2017.
This year, the series will comprise 330 poker tournaments with the whopping prize pool of $35 million. Partypoker’s Powerfest was formerly known as Pokerfest, but its named changed in February 2016.
Then, just $5 million was put into the total prize pot, and since that point, it has continued to increase, now standing at an impressive seven times the initial amount.
What is on offer?
Buy-in to the legendary Powerfest tournament can be from $5.50 to $25,000 – quite the range. The beauty of this particular tournament is that it caters to every kind of online poker player, with specific events for amateur players and high rollers.
There will also be satellites during the tournament, in order to make sure that gamblers are fairly able to earn a seat at the bigger tournaments without creating financial struggle for themselves by trying to stretch their bankroll to afford a higher buy-in.
During September, partypoker will offer 12 Championship events, of which 10 will offer upwards of $1 as prize money.
Certain events in the Championship will be ‘multi-phased’, meaning that players can be more flexible. For example, they can compete in several Phase 1 games at once, or head directly to the final day of the Championship by buying-in last minute.
Partypoker has also added a new event to the series, which is exclusively for women. On the final day of Powerfest, the $109 Ladies Event will take place, which comprises a prize pool of $10,000 winnable by female players only.
A full list of details and full schedule of Powerfest’s events can be found at the partypoker website.
