- Live casino platform lets players meet and make friends
- Secret agent theme gives players missions to complete
Two casino gaming executives have teamed up to launch their own creative online casino concept, which goes live early next year. Letsbet.com is a unique twist on the live casino, which seats real players together at tables and opens a host of options for socializing and interacting. It will be rolled out in Scandinavia first, before extending across Europe.
Social sharing in a live casino
Letsbet.com describes the casino concept as “like walking into a real casino.”
The platform uses live streaming technology to facilitate chat between players and game hosts, as well as running daily live broadcasts and promotions to boost engagement. Players can make friends and add them to group chats, and they can interact with everyone ‘seated’ at their table.
Letsbet.com has a secret agent theme, and players are given undercover tasks or missions to complete. These might relate to social media sharing, or qualification for a promo bonus, or simply being an active member of the Letsbet community by making friends and getting involved with conversations and games.
The mission feature adds a little indirect competition between players, which the developers hope will increase visitor engagement.
Top casino minds team up to create platform
The duo behind the new platform are Michael Pedersen, a former NetEnt regional business manager, and Stefan Lind who was LeoVegas’ head of operations until recently. Both have extensive experience in the online gaming industry, and the pair plan to build a new kind of casino that builds on demand for an authentic casino experience.
“Casino players might not always want to directly speak to other players, but it’s clear that they often like to interact with the casino staff and enjoy the indirect presence of other players,” says Chief Marketing Officer Stefan Lind.
“That’s what we are trying to replicate using the latest technology.”
“We believe the new frontier in online real-money casino is a mash-up of live streaming, social features and gamification,” adds CEO Michael Pedersen. “We decided from day one that we wanted to be different.”
The casino concept will launch early next year in Nordic regions, and a successful start will ensure it is quickly brought to the rest of Europe.
The platform uses Together Gaming technology and will have access to Quickspin, Microgaming and Yggdrasil game content.
