- Asian Gaming company sponsor both home and away shirts for the 2017/18 Premier League campaign
- Letou also launch charity campaign ‘goals for good’ in South West Wales with PR firm Calacus
Welsh side Swansea City have established themselves as Premier League regulars in recent years and have secured themselves a front of shirt sponsorship deal with International casino company Letou for the 2017/18 Premier League season.
In an unveiling of their new kit at Swansea’s home ground ‘the Liberty Stadium,’ the clubs Chief Operating Officer Chris Pearlman was happy to announce his sides new partnership, stating; “Swansea City has ambitions to grow our brand in Asia, where Letou has a strong presence and a lot of experience.”
Who are Letou?
First established back in 2004, Letou boast being the first Asian gaming company to provide cash-based online casino entertainment services.
The organisation offer an online sports betting site as well as a casino offering which has a multitude of games to play such as, Life of Riches, Lara Croft Tomb Raider: Secret of the sword, Nordic Quest and 300 shields (amongst plenty others).
In 2006, the company joined with the Winner Mayfair limited Group and has since gone from strength to strength as it now looks to get a strangle hold on the UK market.
So Much More than Just a Shirt Sponsor
In addition to Letou’s shirt sponsorship deal with Swansea City, the company have also appointed London based Sports PR firm Calacus to drive their ‘Letou Goals for Good’ initiative which is designed to aid local charities in South West Wales.
However, Letou’s good work does not stop there, the companies Chief Executive may be a Glaswegian at heart but has family in the Swansea area and used his company’s relationship with the football club to give back to the local community saying;
“I was brought up in Glasgow and have family in Swansea. So when the opportunity arose to work with Swansea City, it was really important to me that Letou uses our partnership to give back to the community as much as possible.
“We’re donating our corporate hospitality box to homeless charity Shelter Cymru, and handing over our season ticket allocation to Disability Sport Wales.
An admirable gesture by Letou indeed and one that will quickly endear them to the fans of the club.
The Pull of the Premier League
Where Letou’s generosity is admirable, it will not come without gain, the global appeal of the Premier League is astronomical.
In the company’s home continent, over a billion people are expected to tune into the Premier League over the course of the season, allowing Swansea and Letou to continue to build their brands in the Asian market.
However, it is not just in Asia where viewing figures are high, pretty much every country on the globe tunes into the Premier League throughout a campaign meaning any organisation associating themselves with a Premier League side is in for some huge global exposure.
Swansea and Casinos go hand in hand
Swansea’s sponsorship agreement with Letou continues a recent succession of casino operators plastered across the front of the Swans shirts.
32Red Casino, BetEast and even commodity trading platform GWFX have occupied the main shirt sponsor slot on the club’s kit.
This is proof enough that the Premier League is the place to be.
