- Endemol and Gamblit team up to bring game show to casinos
- First look at new games expected at G2E next month
Classic British game show Deal Or No Deal is heading to casinos with two unique twists on the game, made for table and terminal players.
Deal or No Deal Poker and Deal Or No Deal Poker Special have been announced by developers Endemol Shine and Gamblit Gaming ahead of next month’s Global Gaming Expo, which takes place between October 3-5 at the Las Vegas Sands. The interactive table gaming experience will mix chance with skill, blending elements of poker with the show’s iconic ‘deal or no deal’ decision-making process.
Two new games for casino players
Little is known about the two games at this stage, but Endemol and Gamblit confirmed in a recent press release that the titles would be on display at next month’s gaming event. What we do know is that Deal Or No Deal Poker will be a single-player poker terminal games, while the Deal Or No Deal Poker Special is an interactive table game designed for several players at a time.
Both will feature elements of chance and luck, but also some skill is involved in making the right deals at the right time.
The interactive elements will make this a very social game, with plenty of activity and excitement. Endemol’s participation in the project allows the Gamblit developers to use graphics and audio clips from the series, giving a very authentic feel to the games. It will be perfect for fans of the box-opening game show who have always wanted to take part, and also for anyone who loves the thrill of closing a great deal.
New casino games target millennials
Gamblit Gaming is one of the world leaders in producing multiplayer interactive casino games that include elements of skill.
Skill-based gambling is a relatively new concept that plays on the younger generations’ love of video games, hoping to attract a wider audience to the casino. Casinos in Las Vegas have been introducing more of these skill games on their casino floors: including many titles by the specialists at Gamblit Gaming.
According to their recent press release, Gamblit’s games are said to reduce average player age by 20 years.
The Deal Or No Deal game series will “re-create the excitement, intensity and pure fun of the massive global hit show with friends or as a single player in the modern arcade – the casino,” said Gamblit CMO Darion Lowenstein.
“We are delighted to launch a brand new way of playing Deal or No Deal in this innovative style of skill based gaming,” Endomol’s managing director Owain Walbyoff added.
