Coral’s live casino is getting an update.

The studio, which will run games in association with casino game giant Playtech, will be staffed 24 hours a day with live dealers, initially offering four blackjack tables as well as a roulette table. A VIP room will also be included among the new features on offer.

The very best?

The studio has been designed specifically for Coral and will feature new graphical enhancements as well as a new interface and better design, according to Nir Hakarmeli, Ladbrokes Coral’s director of gaming operations. Hakarmeli said that the move would aim to “provide the very best casino experience in the industry, and is part of Coral’s strategic initiative to bring Casino Live closer to sports betting customers.”

While the selection of games at launch isn’t exactly huge, it does seem to aim to offer a better quality live casino than a lot of other rivals, almost all of whom use a third-party provider. Whether the benefits of having a smarter-looking bespoke studio outweigh the better choice on offer elsewhere remain to be seen – while it’s expected that things will expand in the future, Ladbrokes Coral haven’t laid out any specific plans, as yet. Casinopedia has contacted Coral for more details.

Nonetheless, Playtech seemed convinced the move would be a success, with their head of live casino innovation Kevin Kilminster saying that it would take “full advantage of our new, next-generation live casino studio.”

Playtech announced its improved live casino studio in March, which they said is the largest and most cutting-edge studio within the industry, with a focus on improving the customer experience.

OUR VERDICT

Coral is looking to improve its customer experience with this upgrade, and appears to be trying to bring over some of its more traditional sports betting customers.

The live dealer experience is perhaps the closest thing online players can get to the land based casino experience. But the live dealer casino is also an experience all of its own, which should be tried at least once.

Playtech is providing the live dealer operation, which will of course have the Coral branding. For those that don’t know, Playtech is one of the industry’s biggest players when it comes to online casino games, so players should be in for a top class experience.

When its new generation live dealer studio launched in March, it was highlighting its focus on a luxurious and refined online casino experience. Let’s hope it delivers for Coral customers.
