- Bellagio Hotel and Casino Resort to live stream cash poker games through gaming streaming service Twitch
- Games streamed globally to be mid-stakes range and run for five weeks
The Bellagio Hotel and Casino resort in Las Vegas has announced that the world-famous venue will live-stream cash poker games through online gaming streaming service Twitch.
The first event to be streamed live will take place on April 26, 2017. It will be a game of No-Limit Hold’em with a buy-in that ranges between $500 and $2,000 and a $2-$5-$10 betting structure.
The following four events will have a similar betting structure and buy-in range and will take place on May 3, May 10, May 17 and May 24, 2017. The final event will have an increased buy-in and betting range ($800-$5,000, with a $10-$20 betting structure) before the WSOP kicks off shortly after.
Once the WSOP has concluded, it’s expected that the Bellagio streams will resume, however an exact date is yet to be confirmed by the resort.
First in Vegas to live stream
To allow fans to watch live, the Bellagio Hotel and Casino resort will set up its own page on Twitch so fans across the globe can be involved as it becomes the first Vegas casino to live stream games. Joining forces with streaming giant Twitch will likely prove to be a shrewd move and give poker fans uninterrupted, high-quality streams.
The Bellagio Hotel and Casino Resort’s iconic poker room, named Bobby’s Room after Bobby Baldwin (the legendary poker player who won the WSOP champion title in 1978), has played host to some of the biggest names and prestigious names in poker like Doyle Brunson, Daniel Negreanu, and Jennifer Harman.
Bobby’s Room houses a total of 37 tables where low and high-stakes cash games and tournaments take place on a daily basis.
