Treasures of the Pyramids is IGT’s take on the ever-popular Ancient Egyptian themed slot genre.
IGT have been careful not to wade in familiar water with their imagery, too. Thus, Treasures of the Pyramids looks quite different from the other top Ancient Egyptian themed slot, Cleopatra, and its sequels.
Look and feel
Looking distinctly unique from Cleopatra has seen Treasures of the Pyramids contain far more jewellery than that flagship game. Expect to find bracelets, amulets, and Ankhs galore on the reels of this slot machine, alongside more stereotypical Ancient Egyptian imagery, such as cartouches and the Eye of Horus.
One notable addition to the rules – which appears a little out of place – is the panther. Panthers are not endemic to Egypt, nor even to Africa, and are not associated with the Ancient Egyptians at all. Even so, this symbol can go a long way to helping you land wins in this slot.
Treasures of the Pyramids contains a 5-reel, 40-line gaming structure, and you are not going to be able to adjust any of the paylines in this slot. Players can, however, alter the value of their bets. Minimum bets are fixed at just 40p per spin, whilst maximum stakes are capped at £800 per spin. Players can expect to be able to win as much as £5,000 in all with this non-progressive jackpot slot.
The top paying icon in this game is the panther. This symbol is slightly enlarged and covers two positions on the reels. It is also a wild symbol and can substitute for all other symbols in the slot machine, save for pyramids. Having a slightly larger wild will certainly help you land wins more frequently. Scatter icons are represented by the pyramids of Giza, and 3 or more is enough to see you trigger a free spins bonus.
Players will get to play with between 8 and 100 spins, and all wild wins are multiplied by 2x the normal rate of pay in the bonus, save for the jackpot paying combination.
