Batman and the Penguin Prize is Playtech’s Penguin-themed addition to the Batman slot series that came to replace the Marvel progressive games Playtech scrapped. This slot comes with unique bonus features that are different from the extras found at other Batman slots and it can also be played as a progressive game as well as a regular slot at online casinos.
Look and feel
The game is based on the cheerful Batman TV series of the 1960s, which featured Adam West as the Batman and Burgess Meredith as the Penguin. A relaxing, jazzy guitar soundtrack creates a tone of mystery as you spin the reels while animations and sounds from the original series only add to the overall authenticity of the game.
The slot comes with 6-reels and a 4,096-ways-to-win paytable which can only be unlocked if you trigger a win. But during the base game, you will only be playing with 3-reels and 64 ways to win, while reels 3-6 will be kept locked by the Penguin until you set them free by winning anything.
The highest paying symbol in the game is the Batman Logo Wild which is followed by the Batman, the Penguin, and Robin. There are also 5 lower paying symbols to claim, starting with Alfred at the top and going down to the Batarang and Batman’s Shakespeare Bust as the lowest paying symbols.
Batman and the Penguin Prize comes with a minimum bet limit of £0.25 while the maximum you can bet per single spin is £125. It’s a low-mid variance game with an estimated RTP of 96.06% which makes it suitable for anyone that wants to have a casual playing session at an entertaining slot game. However, to have better chances of triggering any of the four jackpots (Grand, Major, Minor, and Mini), you will have to bet more money on each spin.
The main bonus feature in the game is the Penguin Re-spins feature which can unlock up to three different types of re-spins if you combine multiple wins. The first re-spin is activated when you land any win and it will unlock all 6-reels for 1 re-spin where you’ll get stacked symbols and 64 ways to win. Winning anything during Re-spin I will unlock the Re-spin II feature with 4,096-ways-to-win and 2×2 Super symbols. And finally, the Re-spin III takes one more win and comes with 3×3 Mega symbols instead.
The progressive jackpot, on the other hand, can be triggered randomly during any spin. The jackpots are awarded via a game of pick-and-win where you’ll have to fill up 4 jackpot progress bars until one of them triggers a prize.
