Dawn of Justice comes to online casinos
Released in 2016, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice is the second film in the DC Extended Universe series. It brings together Batman and Superman, two much-loved characters from the original DC Comics, along with Wonder Woman and the villain Lex Luthor. The two heroes are manipulated into fighting each other by the overlord, and this premise forms the basis of Playtech’s slot game.
The game features symbols relating to the two franchises, such as the Batmobile and butler Alfred. Lex Luther himself is another symbol in the game, as are the logos of the two protagonists.
Set against the sprawling Metropolis backdrop, the reels are flanked either side by Batman and Superman, as portrayed by Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill respectively.
Ton of features in this Playtech title
This is a mid-variance slot with a 95.4% reported RTP, so you should see plenty of action during your game. There are two free spin rounds and a selection of interactive wild symbols, plus stacked symbols and shifting wilds within the bonus games.
Watch out for the Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and Doomsday symbols, as these all act as wilds in base game win lines. The Batman and Superman symbols act as shifting wilds, triggering respins and moving left and right accordingly until they hit the end reel. Find the two opposing symbol on the same winline to launch the free spins battle.
In the battle, select your hero and watch for clashes on the reels when the two symbols land. The characters will battle it out, and if the player’s pick wins they are awarded extra spins. A multiplier bonus also kicks in when these free spins are active.
There is also the Doomsday free spins, picked up when the middle reel is filled with a stacked symbol. The Wild Doomsday stack moves to reel five and five free spins begin. With each spin, the stack moves left and on the last spin, it expands to cover the first and second reels. This is a very profitable bonus game – but it doesn’t come up too often.
Finally, there are four progressive jackpot always active in the base game. These are awarded at random. The pots are labelled Grand, Major, Minor and Mini, and all four build up during play. Players can win any – or all – of the jackpots on any spin.
