- Series of innovative features including mystery reels
- Game optimized for play in portrait mode on mobile
Microgaming has announced its forthcoming launch of a new steampunk-inspired slot Fortunium with a host of innovative features.
The game will take the player to a golden metropolis of wealth and promise, where the wealthy and the wealth seeking embark to expand or seek their fortunes.
The game boasts a soaring skyline and immersive graphics, all within a steampunk setting, which itself is a kind of mash up of stylised Victoriana and futuristic sci-fi.
Although the game has no official release date, it was showcased at this week’s ICE Totally Gaming industry expo in London.
What sets it apart
Microgaming is known for ploughing a lot of resources into its slots to deliver a range of developed features, cutscenes and layers of gameplay.
Microgaming has so far let on that the game will include Mystery Reels, stacked mystery symbols and a Win Booster reward which will apparently boost up player wins.
David Reynolds, Games Publisher at Microgaming, said: “Fortunium is a stunning slot that fuses together a unique genre with amazing game mechanics that will immerse players into our richest game world yet. Designed with the mobile market in mind, Fortunium is fully optimised for portrait gameplay, making it a brilliant addition to our diverse portfolio of games.”
Where to play and alternatives
Steampunk has been popular over the last five to ten years or so. Needless to say, some slots have already been released based on the genre.
Steam Tower is perhaps the most recent example – a innovative slot by NetEnt which you can try below.
To play Fortunium when it’s released, players will need to head to a Microgaming casino. Try 32Red or ComeOn! Casino when it is released, among a host of other online casinos likely to want to add this to their game library.
