- Hard Rock Atlantic City Hotel and Casino to be open by late May 2018
- $500 million repair work started and is on track
The project to transform the former Trump Taj Mahal Casino into the Hard Rock Atlantic City Hotel and Casino is on course, with the new casino resort set to be open before the 2018 Memorial Day weekend.
The group are aiming to give the land-based casino a new lease of life with a strong desire to hope to revitalize Atlantic City and help boost employment opportunities to the South Jersey area; after recent economic struggles.
Casinopedia recently reported that the transformation work on the venue had begun and that plans for the site could include poolside casino games, to help grow the appeal of the casino resort.
Plans for the re-branded are also set to see Hard Rock think outside the box as they attempt to showcase a wide variety of casino environments, including combining dining and entertainment with traditional casino games.
Hard Rock’s executive leader, Jim Allen, has also pledged to rid the casino entirely of any trace of Trump legacy as he bids to breath new life into the iconic yet previously lifeless site.
Casino players and holidaymakers looking to visit the casino resort, will have to wait until the State’s lawmakers confirm which of the Hard Rock proposals will be accepted, to see what is on offer but even without some of the group’s more out of the box proposals the resort promises to offer punters a competitive range of casino games.
The Hard Rock proposals for the site are ambitious, so it a boost for players to hear that work is on track and that the site could be open in under a year from now (June 2017). If the transformation is successful, it could also provide Atlantic City with a boost as they look to challenge other popular destinations for casino players.
