If we were to ask 100 people “how would you improve your online casino experience?” the vast majority would simply say “win more cash.” Unfortunately that particular change is down to the individual player, rather than the house.
Logging on to your favourite online casino should be, and usually is, a fantastic experience. However, there are a few slight improvements that could be made to really nail player satisfaction.
Aside from increasing winnings, here are five other ways to improve the casino experience. Who’s with me?
Sportsbooks, and particularly eSports seem to be creating new and innovative products for the younger generation, but online casinos seem to be lagging behind. The same issue is being chewed over by land-based casinos as wel.
Of course, there are online casinos that are embracing new technology, such as virtual reality and artificial intelligence and introducing video game-like elements. But there’s lots more work to be done by games makers if they want to create something with the pulling power of a ‘Call of Duty’ or ‘Counter Strike’.
As far as land-based casinos go, MGM’s recent move to bring skill based games into some of its casinos is another step in the right direction too.
Ease of use
This author has been to online casinos where you would need a degree in law to withdraw your money and one in advanced mathematics to understand their slots’ payout systems and bonus requirements.
Games don’t need to be complex to be good and that’s a lesson many virtual slot makers could do with learning. The whole experience can leave certain novice players bewildered – the sheer choice of games, navigating the site, and complicated bonus terms and conditions. Unsurprisingly, there are separate businesses set up to deal with this issue alone.
Deal with complaints and be transparent
Some players will have complaints. Some players will have unreasonable complaints, but the key is that online casinos deal with legitimate customer issues in a fair and efficient manner.
A recent report has highlighted they they could be doing a lot better in this area, certainly as far as the UK goes.
Tutorials from experts
So many novice players take to the blackjack and poker tables without the slightest idea of what they are doing. An expert player to go through a quick tutorial on how to play the more complex games would be a fantastic addition to any casino, online or land-based.
This would save the novice money and the experts who are sharing the table with them would not have their patience tested every twenty seconds.
Less tolerance for rude players
Ok, more of a land-based casino issue here, but with some of the more social aspects of online casinos becoming popular, it could equally apply in the virtual world too.
One of the reasons many players choose online casinos is because they don’t have to tolerate rude and annoying players that may afflict a land-based venue.
Many land-based casinos put up with players who bring the atmosphere of the entire establishment down because they are big spenders. This action is short sighted as it will keep one customer, but cost the establishment many potential spenders in the long run.
There you have it, five ways to improve the casino experience. Don’t get me wrong though – casinos are still loveable even if they never change.
