- The fortunate winners take away just under $950,000
- Slot game World of Wonka pays out more than a golden ticket for the triumphant winners
Nicholas Blaskowski and Nicole Perry, a couple from Phoenix Arizona, are in a world of pure imagination after winning almost $1 million on a Willy Wonka-themed penny slot machine in Las Vegas.
Caesars Entertainment, an American casino company based in Nevada, have reported that on Sunday, the lucky couple won $944,337.37 while betting on the World of Wonka slot machine.
The couple have told KMPH, theyare “shocked and excited.” In fact, Blaskowski and Perry are two of just eight people who have been lucky enough to win over $100,000 at a Caesars Entertainment casino resort.
World of Wonka
The game that yielded the lucky couple’s win is called World of Wonka, a slot game by Scientific Gaming that only hit casino floors in the latter months of 2016.
Based on the 1971 movie and boasting all of the film’s much-loved characters, World of Wonka is a brightly colored game, incorporating exciting graphics and five separate video screens for play.
Symbols in the game include several candy types, Oompa-Loompas (which act as whilds), and even Grandpa Joe.
Having only been rolled out to casinos at the end of last year, the game has already been a hit across many land-based casinos. And now, it is sure to be a favorite of Nicholas Blaskowski and Nicole Perry.
Just last year, a woman from New Jersey called Vanessa Maskal scooped a huge $100,000 win at Harrah’s Resort in Atlantic City, another of Caesars Entertainment’s outposts.
With the second highest score and the largest cheque to be taken home from the ‘Biggest Slot Tournament Ever,’ Maskal was thrilled to have won.
Another winner is Lawrence M, who won $100,000 at a Caesars Entertainment casino in Philadelphia.
