- Caesar’s Entertainment to host prestigious contest
- £2000 prize and place in Euro heats for Britain’s best croupier
The UK Dealer of the Year contest is heading to London next month, with nominees from top casinos competing for the title of Britain’s best croupier.
18 table maestros will be demonstrating their skills for the panel of judges at a day-long event, with prizes awarded for leading in various disciplines.
At the end of the event, an overall winner will be crowned and awarded £2,000 – along with a spot at the European Dealer Championship later this year.
Mayfair casino to host croupier event
The competition is organized by the National Casino Forum, and it takes place on February 27th 2017 at the Sportsman Casino in London’s exclusive Mayfair district.
This Vegas-inspired Caesar’s Entertainment venue is hosting the competition for the first time; last year’s event was held at the London Playboy Club.

The event opens at 10am and will run until 6pm, when the winner will be announced and the prizes handed out.
Prizes and categories for contest winners
The main prize for the event is a £2,000 cash sum for the winner, along with a qualifying place in the Euro championships.
The top runner-up will also be heading to Europe, and they will scoop £1,000 for their efforts. A £500 will go to the second runner-up on the day.
There will also be small cash prizes awarded for individual skills. The top chipper, stacker, pusher and mathematician will be rewarded for their efforts.
Winners will be in good company, joining 2016 Dealer of the Year Clayton Bourne (of the Clermont Club) and 2017 champion Jamie Leigh Cummins (Ritz Club, Park Lane Club).
Europe and beyond for contest winners
The winner and first runner-up at the London championships will be heading to the European Dealer Championship in Montenegro, where they will represent the UK in competition with the continent’s finest casino dealers.
The event is organized by the European Casino Association, and 2018 will mark its eleventh year.
33 participants from 20 countries took part in last year’s contest. The two-day event was ultimately won by Antra Gaike, a croupier at the Olympic Voodoo Casino,in Latvia. 2017 UK winner Jamie Leigh Cummins and runner-up Stuart McCallum also took part in the contest.
